knockout hole and fasten with locknut. Wire according to diagram. Replace cover and turn power “ON”. DO NOT INSTALL THE LIGHT CONTROL WITH THE PHOTOCELL FACING ARTIFICIAL OR REFLECTED LIGHT. This will cause the unit to cycle on and off at night (see Problem Solving).
2. It is normal for switch to take several minutes to turn off when first installed. To test “turn on function” during day, cover eye with black tape or other opaque material. Do not cover with finger because light traveling through finger may
be great enough to keep switch open. Test will take approximately 2 minutes. 3. Check the following before you replace an inoperative Light Control. PROBLEM SOLVING: Light staying on during daytime.Check that wiring connections are correct. Make sure eye is receiving light and is not being shielded by overhang or mounted facing the ground. Occasionally lightning or severe line voltage surges may damage photoelectric switch.
Light coming on too early Same as above. or going off too late. Light cycling on and off during the day. Light cycling on and off at night. Light not coming on at night or turning on too late. The red and black wires are wired incorrectly and should be reversed.Light is being reflected into eye. It is essential that you shield or reposition switch to eliminate this condition.
The switch may be held off by external light source. Shielding orrepositioning is necessary. Operation is not affected by weather, moisture or temperature changes. NOTE: This product can be used with incandescent, fluorescent, mercury vapor and sodium bulbs.
